DANGO

Dango

Dango is a collaborative initiative comprising Indigenous elders, local businesses, and community members, all united with a common goal: to uplift the youth, mothers, and fathers within Western Australia's Indigenous population.

Our Vision

Our vision is to establish a safe house or halfway house that will serve as a hub for education, empowerment, employment, and unity.

We Aim To Provide

Cultural and Educational Programs: Offering classes and online courses focused on the rich history and heritage of Indigenous cultures. Esteemed elder Cheryl Martian will lead art workshops, while Shenol Arslanovski will conduct boxing fitness classes. Additionally, we will offer certificates and diplomas to equip individuals with the skills needed for employment in the mining sector and local industries.

Safe and Supportive Environment: A secure space for women and children to escape domestic violence is pivotal. We will also provide coaching and support for individuals struggling with mental health, substance abuse issues, and offer avenues for legal aid assistance.

Operational Workspace:  A dedicated workspace for Dango's operations to streamline our activities and ensure effective management.

Our board consists of committed individuals who share a vision of reinvesting back into the community. We are dedicated to utilizing our resources and expertise for the community's benefit while maintaining a professional approach to every opportunity that arises.
